Recurly Appoints Renato Mascardo as Chief Technology Officer

Expansion of Leadership Team Supports Accelerating Demand for Subscription Billing Management Services Worldwide

San Francisco, CA–June, 24th, 2014–Recurly, Inc., provider of the world’s most widely used subscription billing management platform, today announced the appointment of software industry veteran, Renato Mascardo as chief technology officer. Mascardo will focus on Recurly’s technical vision and operational excellence as the company scales to meet the demands of its growing customer base.

Mascardo brings extensive experience as a software entrepreneur and executive to Recurly. Most recently, he served as the vice president of engineering at Rosetta Stone, where he led the development of new cloud and mobile infrastructures supporting SaaS growth strategies and multi-device delivery. Previously, he was the CTO of Atari, and held senior engineering management positions at Metamoki, Mercury Interactive and Hewlett Packard. Mascardo graduated with a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA.

Mascardo’s leadership expertise coupled with his passion for innovation and experience building high-caliber engineering teams will enable Recurly to accelerate its leadership in delivering easily outsourced recurring billing management to thousands of customers worldwide.
